On Thursday 21st March, The Future Dreams Fight Night, a white-collar charity boxing event was held The Sheraton Park Lane Hotel. Currently in its third year, this fabulous evening consists of several rounds of White-Collar boxing bouts by amateurs, which are intensively trained and mentored.

By taking part Jason, along with the other competitors raised a staggering £473,000 for this incredible charity. Like a scene out of Rocky Jason who’s name for the evening was ‘Jason Arnie Rishover’ came head to head with Geoffrey ‘Judge Geoff Kingscote’. Attended by hundreds of supporters and guests the crowd went wild while they watched the fight which consisted of three, two-minute rounds.

Jason comments: “This was my first ever boxing experience, and it was without doubt, the hardest personal challenge I have ever set myself. The atmosphere on the evening was unbelievable and spurred us both on. Despite my opponent being knocked down in the first round and unbelievably resilient in the second, I held my own, and it was declared a draw in the third round. Future Dreams is a fantastic charity providing support, awareness and research for those affected by breast cancer, which was founded by a close friend of mine whose wife sadly lost her life to this terrible disease. So, when Future Dreams contacted me and asked me to be involved, I jumped at the chance.”

“While I’m proud with the achievement, I’m relieved its over – the past six months have been grueling to say the least. I’m so grateful for all the support of our donors as knowing how much money we had raised, as well having our family, friends and colleagues there on the night to cheer us on, gave us the confidence to really go for it. Everyone has shown such tremendous support and generosity, enabling us to raise much needed funds for such a worthy cause.”

Fight Night Organiser Joanne Moulder, at Future Dreams commented: “We’re so grateful to Jason for taking part in in our event. This is the third consecutive year we have held fight night. Each year we raise more money than the year before, and this year has been no exception. For those taking part it’s a huge commitment as all participants must be complete amateurs, it takes months and months of training and dedication. They all did amazingly well on the night and with their help and all the money raised we can help make a real difference to breast cancer support, awareness and research.”
